Please leave your valuables and large amounts of cash at home. If you must keep these items with you, contact our administrator to arrange for safekeeping. Your valuables will be deposited in a lock box. Please be advised that Hope4Diabetes Medical Center is not responsible for personal items or valuables kept in your room. Cellular Phones Cellular phones may be used in our facility. Please direct questions regarding signal reception and "out of the country" charges to your cellular phone carrier.
Traveling to Hope4Diabetes Medical Center The main mode of transportation for out of state or out of country patients is by air. Please make your flight arrangements with the airline of your choice; if you need assistance in this process our patient service coordinator will help you. Your flight destination is San Diego International Airport. When you arrive at the airport, our transportation representative will greet you at the baggage claim department, load your belongings, and transport you to our facility. At completion of treatment, when it is time for you to leave our facility, our transportation representative will drive you to San Diego International Airport for your return flight home. If you are traveling from overseas the Los Angeles International airport (LAX) may be a better choice for you, in which case our transportation representative will pick you up there for a fee of $150 USD.
PLEASE NOTE: The following forms of identification are acceptable for crossing US/Mexico Borders by land. A combination of proof of US citizenship, such as a birth certificate AND driver's license or other state-issued photo identification. If using a birth certificate as identification, you should have the original, with an embossed state seal. This form of identification is acceptable for use to visit or return from Mexico by land in 2007, 2008 and the first half of 2009.
